Fun in Food

And we are official eating solids! At his 4 month appointment the doctor gave us the green light. We tried rice cereal with a little banana in it. Very interesting adventure. I'm sure he will get the hang of it soon enough, and in the meantime we will get lots of funny faces!

A Night Away

So, tomorrow morning we are dropping Grayson off at my parent's house, and we will not be picking him up until Sunday morning! I am so excited and nervous at the same time.


We need this - from just needing some good uninterrupted sleep, to needing some husband & wife time that doesn't revolve around our child. Getting away from our child is going to be good. But, I'm not sure how to shake this anxiety! Eeck!


Then Sunday is Father's Day. More importantly - Steve's first Father's Day. And Grayson turns 4 months old. I truly can not believe how fast the time is going - how do I have a 4 month old !?

More fun!

What a great weekend! Saturday I went out with one of my best friends - we ate & drank and just shared in each other's company. We use to work together, and I miss her terribly! It was great to see her - and I'm going to cook her dinner this coming Saturday for her 30th birthday! Not that I'm the best of cooks, but hey - it's really going to be more about the wine and champagne.

There is a new toy in Grayson's life - we call him 'red bear'. It is a singing bear, there are 4 different ones and the one that Grayson loves sings "Oh where has my little dog gone". It is so funny. No matter what Grayson is doing if we made the bear sing, he stops and stares & then he starts talking back to him! It's too great. I am going to get video of this. Everyone should get to witness it :)

You can see Red Bear in the photo below, swaddled up & taking a nap with Grayson. We added the pacifier for the effect.

Ah! Monday tomorrow - back to the grind, I hate when the weekend is over!
