A Ride On A Horse
September 11, 2011 was a very sad day here in the US. Remembering all the lives lost 10 years ago is important and emotional.
We decided that we needed to do something fun with Grayson, so we took him back to Sesame Place. This day was a first for Grayson because he rode his first amusement park rides! We did the carousel 2 times & the tea cups once. He was laughing and smiling the entire time. It was a very fun day.
Emotional for me because for some reason I found myself holding back tears and I held onto Grayson as we went around and around on the fun blue horse.
Last night Grayson officially understood the point of the potty! While nothing has happened yet, I feel it is important to say we are one step closer.

Elmo!
Grayson loves Elmo. He goes by "MoMo", or "LaLa" in our home - but the sight of him just makes my son giddy. Start singing "That's Elmo's Song" and Grayson will be "Lalalalala"-ing all over the house for days. It is so funny and amazing.
Because of Grayson's love for the MoMo, we have become 2012 Sesame Place season pass holders. (This also gets you the rest of 2011 season for "free". The season ends at the end of October.) So, we broke in our passes this past weekend.
To say Grayson had a good time is kind of an understatement. Grayson ran around playing on things, pointing out all the fun characters and even sat through the full 15-20 minute live Elmo show that we took him to. He had the time of his 18-month life. I can't wait to take him back this weekend so we can re-live the moments. I might even take him on the carousel for his first amusement park ride.
He really is just a learning machine these days. He now strings 2 words together to make mini-sentences, he is trying to put puzzles together all on his own, and he will ask for help when he just can't get that pieces in the right places. He is a coloring fool, and chases the cats around the house like it's his full time job.
I never imagined that wanting to take this little person to see and experience all these new places and things would be the highlight of my life. But it is.
