I believe we have our first official fear. It makes this mommy's heart hurt.
So, we had some storms roll through last night, and like every other storm we have the power went out. And then would come back on, and then go out again. This happened a handful of times. The only difference this time from every other time was, Grayson was home and awake to experience it. The storms came through right as he was going to bed. It scared the crap out of him. He was so upset he just wouldn't go to sleep. I explained that his star turtle & his sea horse would never stop working and he could always turn them on if it seemed too dark. That just wasn't cutting it. He needed Daddy.
Daddy went to talk to him and even gave him a flash light for safe keeping in his bed. After 10 minutes of that, we thought all might be well - until the power went out AGAIN. It came back on within 5 minutes, but Grayson just wasn't having it. I ended up rocking him to sleep for the first time in almost a year. It was a bitter sweet moment. The power stayed on the rest of the night.
He woke up early this morning, on a Friday when he can normally sleep in he woke up at 6:30am before I did crying for us. Which, doesn't happen. The first thing he talked to daddy about was the power going out.
I hope this shakes soon because I can for see many nights of not going to sleep worrying the power might go out. It makes me sad and tired just thinking about it!

My kid can be too cute for words
Mommy: "Awww, a wedding!"
Grayson: "What happened Mommy?"
Mommy: "Nothing happened, just 2 people got married today, it's nice."
Grayson: "I get married today!"
Mommy: "I hope not, that would make me sad - I hope you wait 20-30 more years to get married!!"
Grayson: "I will wait til I'm 3 or 4."
The conversations we have with our almost 2.5 year old just kills me from day to day. The things that come out of his mouth can be priceless. Grayson told his Daddy yesterday to, "Stop it! You are driving me nuts!" when Steve was trying to goof around with Grayson.
They really pick up everything around them!
